The Communications Committee goals are to provide interesting and helpful information about the VECA organization, the VECA neighborhood, residents, and stakeholders through the V&E Newsletter and electronic communications.

Email list: We correspond regularly with VECA neighbors via email and invite you to sign up (see “Mailing List” in the right column).

VECA Facebook: We invite you to join the VECA facebook. This is a great informal place for neighbors to post information/promote events (see “Links” in the right column).

Become a Journalist — Upload articles for the website and/or newsletter:

The Vollintine Evergreen Newsletter strives to share the diverse thoughts, ideas and stories of the neighborhood whether it be a distant memory or a current concern. We need articles to be 500 words or less. Email your stories to news@veca.org! We look forward to hearing from you!

Topic suggestions include:

• Useful “neighborly” tips;
• A VECA or neighborhood event that you participated in (Block party, etc);
• History on the neighborhood;
• Safety and security advice;
• Why you love VECA! … or any topic that you think that the neighborhood would want to know!
• A vavorite VECA memory;
• Neighbor Spotlight;
