Lick Creek Survey for New Consultant Study

The City of Memphis has hired a consultant to work on storm water detention in Vollintine Evergreen at Snowden School and maybe Evergreen Presbyterian Church’s soccer fields.

The Lick Creek report is part of a two-year effort by VECA and Midtown residents to try and solve the flooding issues in our area. The endeavor has been greatly assisted by Councilman Jim Strickland.

Comments and feedback on the draft report will be collected by VECA and forwarded to Tetra Tech consulting firm. Please send your comments to veca@veca.org by Friday, March 25.

There will be a public meeting sometime in April or May to present the review to residents. Location and time TBA.

Overton Park Public Meetings

 Remember that Lick Creek flows through Overton Park. Your comments are needed on the plan for the Park as it may effect Lick Creek. The meetings will be taking place:

Saturday, June 25, 10 am – 12 pm, Memphis College of Art – Rust Hall
